Two of our talented ex-students from the Class of 2010, Lewis Pilgrim and Hugo Takasai-Simpson, were recently employed to design and create a piece for the dreary brick wall facing the kitchens.

With the assistance and input of an enthusiastic group of Year 11 and 9 students, and feedback from passing hordes, the street artists have presented us with a creative, contemporary space that is representative of the new energy of the school.

Lewis' Body of Work for the HSC 2010 was selected for 3 of the Artexpress exhibitions across NSW. He gained a scholarship to study the Graphic Design Diploma at Enmore Design Centre which he completed in 2013 with a Highly Commended. Hugo is currently in his 4th year of a Landscape Architecture Degree at UNSW.

Year 8 students were able to combine their study of time-lapse photography with this project and many of the students benefited from watching the creative process as the piece developed over a number of days. A special mention must be made to Carlie Sommers and Madison Carnevale of Year 11 who contributed to both the fill and independently completed some of the work on the piece.
