On the 8th of August Year 10 Students had the opportunity to meet with businessmen and women to conduct a job interview under all the same conditions as a real interview.
The interviewers, ranging from Police Officers and Stockbrokers to HR specialists and Journalists, asked plenty of questions about the specific job students were applying for. By the end of the interview, they gave helpful feedback about how students conducted themselves during the interview and explained things they did well and things they can improve on. This experience has better prepared students for life and the world of work that awaits them.
We would like to thank the volunteer interviewers from DB Schenker, Kellogg's, T.Rowe Price, and Maroubra Police Department and especially thank United Way who continues to support our school with so many programs. Of course, the English Department, Ms Karen Brookes and Mrs Stell were central to the success of this event, so thank you on behalf of Yr 10.
